Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and testing of power electronics solutions, including customer applications and internal research programmes.
  • Create and maintain technology roadmaps in the field of power electronics, driving innovation and strategic direction.
  • Lead the development and growth of power electronics capabilities, aligning with the company\'s long-term strategy.
  • Represent power electronics design in commercial environments, working closely with the Business Development team to generate and approve technical proposals.
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to position the company as a leader in electrification and power electronics design.
  • Mentor colleagues and customer engineers, fostering technical development and promoting a collaborative team ethic.
Qualifications
  • Industry-leading knowledge of power electronics and magnetics technology, gained across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defence, or clean energy.
  • Extensive experience in power electronics design, from concept to production, with robust knowledge of high-voltage, high-power switching devices and modules.
  • Strong practical expertise in digital and mixed-signal control circuits, electrical noise attenuation, and EMC design.
  • Familiarity with major standards related to electrical and functional safety, EMC, and OEM requirements.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with cultural awareness, coupled with an ability to lead technical training and mentoring initiatives.
