Total Assist Recruitment Careers is recruiting for a Director of Pharmacy in NHS Western Isles. The appointee will provide clinical and professional leadership for all aspects of Pharmacy and Medicines governance across the board, acting as the senior adviser on medicines and pharmacy services.

The role includes board-wide responsibility for pharmacy service provision, with emphasis on remote island delivery models and dispensing GP interfaces, and leadership of the pharmacy workforce and budget

Responsibilities

• Leadership of the Pharmacy workforce and governance
• Oversee budget and resources within the pharmacy service
• Ensure compliance with medicines regulations and best practice
• Lead digital medicines initiatives, including ePrescribing adoption
• Oversee reporting of medicines issues and governance across NHS Western Isles
