Job summary

Epsom and St Helier Hospitals is seeking a Group Chief People Officer to shape our next chapter across gesh. You will lead people, culture and organisational development, guiding workforce transformation through merger and a more integrated model.

You will be a trusted adviser to the Chief Executive and Board, developing a single organisational identity with shared values and strong leadership. This role drives workforce strategy aligned to quality, productivity and financial sustainability.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in transformation, cultural change and workforce modernisation.
• Experience of merger, integration, organisational redesign or operating model change is desirable.
• NHS or healthcare experience is valuable.
• Authentic, compassionate and visible leader who can deliver and build trust.
• Flexible working can be discussed.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for people, culture, organisational development, and workforce transformation across gesh.
• Lead the development and delivery of a progressive People and Culture Strategy.
• Ensure modern, digitally enabled, data-driven People services.
• Advise Chief Executive and Board on workforce strategy and organisational design.
• Build relationships with unions, partners and academic institutions.

Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
