The Role

My client, a consultancy firm based in the City of London, is seeking a Chief Operations Officer to support the CEO in running the business. The role includes managing operational budgets, optimising business processes, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring effective utilisation of resources. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior operations professional to join the company's growth journey.

What you’ll do

• Manage the company's core operations, ensuring efficient processes
• Establish operational goals & KPIs, monitor performance, and implement strategies to improve productivity
• Identify and implement process improvements; manage operational governance of the GLT and its committees
• Directly line manage the London-based Operations and Project Management team
• Oversee resource management and allocation
• Lead contract negotiations with clients and onboarding processes
• Identify and manage operational risks

Who you are

• Ideally educated to degree level
• Experience in operational leadership roles is essential
• Strong financial acumen & previous commercial experience, preferably in client-facing businesses
• Experience in a growing company, especially around process and system implementation
• Proven line management experience and ability to manage diverse teams
• Legal/contract management knowledge & experience preferred
• Negotiation experience preferred
• Fintech/technology operations experience is highly desirable
