An established industry player is seeking a COO to join their board during an exciting scale-up phase. This role is pivotal in steering the company towards its ambitious growth targets while maintaining a focus on safety-critical projects within the Nuclear and Defence sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in project and operations management, with a strong grasp of commercial contracts and public procurement. Delkia is a specialist engineering and technology company operating throughout the UK and Internationally for mission critical and safety related systems in highly regulated industries. Their focus is on the Nuclear and Defence sectors.
Their offering includes engineering, systems integration, engineering design, technical consultancy and complex control systems support. Their purpose is protecting lives and critical assets.
Having doubled in size each year for the last four years, they have ambitious further plans to reach £50m by 2028.
As they enter this exciting scale up phase, they are looking to appoint a COO to the board.
Our ideal person will be an experienced Projects, Programme, or Operations Leader who has deep knowledge of commercial contracts and a granular understanding of NEC3, NEC4, and bespoke public procurement contracts. It is important to have a successful track record of managing timely and on-budget project delivery for demanding safety-critical clients.
This experience might have been gained in an M&E Contractor or within another systems integration business ideally into the nuclear or industries of a safety-critical, highly regulated nature. Alternatively, experience gained within companies working with the nuclear end client would also be of interest.
