Blackpool Teaching Hospitals is at the bottom of the National Oversight Framework. We won’t dress that up. It serves a town with massive opportunity and massive deprivation, and for lots of reasons the hospital has struggled in recent years to provide the services it wants to for its population.

The Trust knows what it needs to do, and it’s working hard to get there. It now needs a Chief Operating Officer to help make it happen.

You won’t be doing it on your own:

• The senior leadership team is fully committed to improvement and has a clear plan for how to get there.
• Two substantive Divisional Managing Directors will be recruited shortly, so you’ll get to build your own team.
• The role reaches beyond the hospital. You’ll be the executive lead for Place and system partnerships, working with partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
• You’ll lead a loyal, hard-working workforce who want to deliver the right care for their communities, their families and their friends.
