Ongoing Temporary Position (3 months minimum)

A leading charitable organisation is on the lookout for a COO to help take its mission to the next level. This is a high-impact role at executive level, overseeing the operational backbone of a well-established brand with national reach.

As Chief Operating Officer, you will:

  • Lead the charity’s operational functions including Finance, Legal, Governance, IT, HR, and Facilities
  • Shape and oversee financial planning, reporting, and long-term sustainability
  • Ensure effective governance and board engagement, supporting regulatory and strategic alignment
  • Oversee legal and risk functions, ensuring organisational compliance and safeguarding reputation
  • Direct people and culture strategy, including performance, policy, and organisational development
  • Lead technical and digital operations, including IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems support
  • Champion a high-performing culture and steer strategic planning and organisational improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • Executive-level experience across multiple operational domains
  • Background in strategic financial leadership or a formal accountancy qualification
  • Familiarity with charity governance frameworks and regulatory landscapes
  • A track record of navigating complex organisational change
  • Natural influencer with strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Energy, resilience, and a deep commitment to building purposeful, values-driven teams
  • Experience leading major change or transformation programmes
  • Exposure to working with trustees or governance boards
  • HR operations experience or CIPD understanding
  • Background in media, creative, or public-facing organisations
