Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal/Chief Project Manager to lead major nuclear/defence projects in the UK. You will build trusted client relationships, shape delivery strategies and lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, on‑time, within‑budget outcomes.

Role involves governance, risk management and opportunities across long‑term frameworks with senior stakeholders and clients such as EDF, Rolls‑Royce Submarines, Urenco and Westinghouse. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex engineering projects, preferably in nuclear/defence sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and senior stakeholders.
• Strong financial awareness including forecasting, risk and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects, programmes or portfolios for core clients, delivering safe, high‑quality outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to understand priorities and growth needs.
