Now a university with over 6,000 students and 2,000 staff, Aberystwyth was named the top university in England and Wales for student experience in the Times and Sunday Times’ Good University Guide 2025. It is consistently ranked among the best UK universities for teaching quality and student satisfaction.

Unique Location and Community

Aberystwyth offers a unique combination of a long academic tradition, a stunning location with views over the historic market town and Cardigan Bay coastline, and a campus with state-of-the-art facilities and access to one of Britain’s six copyright libraries. Opportunity and Strategic Focus

With a new strategic plan, an invigorated leadership team, and a new academic structure, this is an exciting time to join. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor and a member of the executive board, this new role will have strategic responsibility for mission-critical services, including marketing, student recruitment, admissions & conversion, global engagement, and events. Building on its strong position and growing student numbers, the task is to expand in a competitive global market for higher education.

Experience managing multi-functional marketing departments and leveraging data insights for growth is essential. The candidate must balance strategic vision with operational management and understand current higher education challenges. A relevant degree or professional qualification is required, along with excellent leadership qualities and strategic influence skills.
