Job Description:

The Chief Marine Engineer is accountable to RRPS Chief Engineer Mobile for the safety and fitness of purpose of NautIQ Solutions products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining product safety in accordance with Rolls-Royce policy and relevant legislation
  • Applying HSE compliance to products
  • Leading capability development of engineering across NautIQ Solutions UK
  • Managing knowledge management and intellectual property
  • Managing stakeholder relationships between engineering, technology & safety, and NautIQ Solutions
  • Supporting business capability and resource planning

Essential:
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering subject
  • Chartered Engineer status in an appropriate discipline
  • Significant and proven electrical engineering experience
  • Proven ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on technical problems
  • Proven experience in provisioning optimized design/function solutions
  • Understanding of process-driven product change control and lifecycle management
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant technical skills
Desirable:
  • Domain knowledge and experience of naval or marine automation optimization
  • Knowledge of delivering systems complying with naval and marine standards
  • Experience applying systems engineering approaches
