The Company: Development and Investment firm delivering transformational infrastructure across Africa

The Location: Hybrid - some minimal presence in their London entity, some travel to their Mozambique hub

The Opportunity:

Lead the Investment Strategy, Capital Mobilization & Project Finance Execution for the leading Infrastructure Manager across Southern Africa.

The Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement multi-sector investment strategy aligned with climate and sustainability goals
  • Lead strategy to access and deploy climate finance instruments
  • Oversee structuring, modeling, and financial closure of complex infrastructure projects
  • Originate and lead export finance transactions in coordination with ECAs and commercial lenders
  • Cultivate relationships with multilateral institutions, sovereign wealth funds, governments, and anchor investors

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in investment banking, project finance, climate finance, export credit, or development finance
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Policy, or Engineering. CFA, CAIA, or equivalent preferred
  • Proven leadership in closing climate-aligned transactions, managing cross-border infrastructure deals, and leveraging sustainable finance frameworks
  • Advanced financial modeling, ESG integration, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
  • Fluency in English; Portuguese or French is a plus
