Job summary

Cynergy Bank, the UK’s human digital bank, seeks a Head of Information Security to lead the strategic and operational security across the Bank. You will shape security strategy, influence major technology investments, and provide trusted advice to executives and the Board while enabling growth and customer trust.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Information Security within regulated financial services.
• Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Experience leading Security Operations, cyber incident response, governance, and risk management.
• Strong technical understanding of cloud security, IAM, enterprise infrastructure, and third‑party security risk.
• Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders, including Board and Executive audiences.
• Strong commercial awareness, balancing risk management with business objectives and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver a pragmatic Information Security Strategy that supports growth and resilience.
• Act as the Bank’s senior security advisor, influencing strategic initiatives across cloud and digital transformation.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing Information Security team with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive cyber defence capability, overseeing security operations, threat intelligence, incident response, and risk management.
• Strengthen governance frameworks ensuring ongoing FCA/PRA compliance and industry standards.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders translating cyber risks into decisions and investments.
• Oversee third‑party security oversight, ensuring supplier alignment with security expectations.
• Champion a strong security culture empowering colleagues to make risk‑based decisions.
