The Role

The CIDO will play a key role at Ashtead technology, providing strategic leadership and direction on all IT, data and digital technology solutions and resources. You’ll ensure key systems (with a particular focus on the Group ERP system) are managed, secure and maintained to deliver value for the business against key strategic outcomes. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to drive digital transformation and the delivery of key technology solutions whilst managing a small team and outsourced managed service partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic yet technical leader looking for the opportunity to drive change and make a real, tangible impact on a rapidly growing organisation.

The Person

  • You’ll be degree qualified (in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or any related technical discipline) with significant experience of leadership of digital technology and data functions within medium to large-scale environments
  • You’ll have broad technology and digital knowledge across enterprise-level data management, cloud technologies, cyber security and digital transformation
  • Previous experience of delivering major ERP implementations, mergers & acquisitions and integration programmes would be highly desirable
  • You’ll have a proven track record of managing diverse technology teams and 3rd party vendors as well as a track record of delivering key transformational projects and programmes
  • You’ll have superb stakeholder engagement skills
