Job Description:

Location: London

Ref: IH12354

A dynamic and rapidly growing SaaS company, currently generating £100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team. Backed by private equity, the business has ambitious plans to triple its ARR to £300 million over the next few years through a focused buy-and-build growth strategy.

The ideal CFO will bring a strong track record in scaling SaaS businesses, particularly those operating under private equity ownership, with a clear focus on driving operational excellence and financial discipline. They will lead a high-performing finance team of 20 professionals and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory, preparing the organisation for a successful exit within a 3 to 5-year timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and forecasting aligned with aggressive growth targets.
  • Partner closely with the CEO and private equity stakeholders to execute the buy-and-build strategy, identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities.
  • Drive the integration of acquired businesses, ensuring consistent financial reporting and operational synergy.
  • Oversee treasury, cash management, and capital structure optimisation to support growth and investment requirements.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Prepare the organisation for a potential exit, working closely with advisors and stakeholders to maximise valuation and transaction readiness.

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in SaaS or technology businesses, ideally with private equity backing.
  • Proven ability to lead through rapid growth phases, including M&A and integration.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription revenue models, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial information to varied audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with a clear focus on delivering results.
