Recently, the business received investment from a reputable, well-known mid-market private equity fund, providing strong financial backing to support its ambitious growth and strategic objectives. They are now seeking an experienced, commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team and support rapid expansion. This is a unique opportunity to make a material commercial impact in a well-funded scale-up with significant ambition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scalable Infrastructure: Build finance systems, processes, and controls that support rapid headcount growth and multi-country operations.
  • Operational Integration: Support the financial integration of newly acquired subsidiaries into the expanding group structure.
  • Commercial Oversight: Drive profitability by leading project margin analysis and contributing to pricing, utilisation, and cost management across client engagements.
  • Cash & Working Capital Management: Oversee billing, collections, WIP, and liquidity while ensuring accurate forecasting.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Own budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, delivering insight on performance by client, service line, and geography.
  • Board Reporting: Prepare the monthly Board Pack and Board Minutes for senior stakeholders.
  • Risk & Governance: Manage compliance across multiple jurisdictions, assess contractual risk, and oversee treasury and insurance functions.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, pan-European finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, pace, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Investor & Stakeholder Management: Prepare the business for potential exit opportunities, including PE, trade sale, or IPO.
About You

  • Strong track record with Private Equity-backed scale-ups with an international footprint.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrable impact on commercial growth.
  • Deep understanding of professional services business models, with expertise in utilisation, project margins, and working capital management.
  • Experienced in the design and scaling of finance systems and processes across borders in high-growth environments.
  • Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, able to influence multiple stakeholders and inspire a high-performance team.
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness, with a desire to contribute beyond finance to drive value.
