Finatal is seeking a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to oversee the finance function across private equity and private credit. You will lead fund and management company accounting, investor reporting and treasury while partnering with investors, the board and advisers to drive governance and operational excellence.

The role requires senior finance leadership in private markets, a track record in fundraising support, and professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA).

Finatal is partnering with a leading mid-market private markets investment firm to appoint a Chief Financial Officer. Managing both private equity and private credit strategies, the firm is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking a commercially minded finance leader to oversee the finance function and support the continued evolution of the business.

Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, the CFO will lead all aspects of fund and management company finance, partnering closely with the investment team, investors, Board, and external advisers to ensure best-in-class financial management, governance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of fund finance and management company accounting across private equity and private credit strategies
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash management
• Manage fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, carried interest, management fees, valuations, and investor reporting
• Ensure robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, and tax governance across the business
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers, lenders, and banking partners
• Support fundraising, investor due diligence, and the launch of new investment vehicles
• Partner with the Managing Partners on strategic planning, financial performance, and business growth initiatives
• Lead and develop the finance function, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Significant senior finance leadership experience within private equity, private credit, or alternative asset management
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting, investor reporting, treasury, tax, and financial controls
• Experience working with institutional investors, fund administrators, auditors, and external advisers
• Track record of supporting fundraising and scaling finance functions within a growing investment management business
• Commercially minded with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification
