Job description

CFO - Financial Services Company

Our client is a forward-thinking financial services company that offers an innovative service, particularly in the payments sector. They provide both business-to-business and business-to-customer services, showcasing the adaptability to manage fully regulated and compliant payment processing for destinations worldwide. They are currently seeking an ambitious CFO to spearhead growth and propel the company towards becoming an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
  2. Liaise with investors and be central to fundraising plans.
  3. Manage the finance team efficiently and aid in development.
  4. Work with the CEO & Board on the strategic vision including forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships.
  5. Participate in and develop new business opportunities for the group.
  6. Ensure that adequate controls are installed and maintained.
  7. Provide the board with an operating budget and work closely to ensure pragmatic success.
  8. Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal activities for the organisation including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
  9. Monitor banking activities of the organisation.
  10. Oversee the production of monthly reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections.
  11. Review and monitor the Group tax position, calculations, and filings.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  1. Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA would be advantageous.
  2. Extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions.
  3. Strong technical accounting skills are highly desirable.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Previous experience of managing and developing staff.
  6. Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  8. Excellent Excel skills.
