Role Overview:

The Interim CFO will be a key member of the leadership team, providing financial direction, managing investor relations during fundraising, and ensuring robust financial governance. Experience in card payments, fintech, or banking SaaS startups, with exposure to Europe and the US, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead fundraising rounds, prepare financial models and pitch materials, and liaise with investors.
• Strategic Financial Management: Define and execute financial strategy, provide decision-making insights, and lead financial planning.
• Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee accounting, budgeting, tax, and treasury; ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS; coordinate audits.
• Team Leadership & International Coordination: Mentor finance team, work with cross-functional teams across Europe and the US, and support building the finance function.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven CFO or Finance Director experience in fintech, card payments, or SaaS banking.
• Deep understanding of payments ecosystem and financial regulation.
• Experience in fundraising rounds at Series A/B or similar.
• International experience with US and European teams/investors.
• Strong stakeholder management skills; qualified accountant preferred but not essential.
