Why this role? As CFO, you'll partner directly with the CEO and COOs, influencing business-wide decisions and ensuring long-term financial health across 14 departments. This is more than a finance role; it's a strategic leadership opportunity where your insight and direction will directly impact the organisation's success.

You will lead a small, capable finance team, balancing hands-on involvement with high-level strategic oversight. From setting financial direction and managing risk to producing accurate, timely reporting, your expertise will underpin sound decision-making at every level.

What we offer:

  • Flexible working hours to support work-life balance
  • Hybrid working Ellesmere Port base with remote flexibility
  • Performance-related pay
  • Private healthcare benefits
  • 30 days annual leave plus public holidays

What we're looking for:

  • A seasoned CFO or senior finance professional with a proven record of delivering robust financial strategies
  • A strategic thinker who can partner with a dynamic Executive Team and challenge constructively at board level
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience developing high-performing finance teams and driving improvement
  • Someone comfortable operating across all levels from hands-on finance tasks to boardroom leadership
  • It is not vital that you have experience in Education finance; however, you should be eager to learn and adapt to the sector's challenges.
This is a rare opportunity for a finance leader who wants to make a visible, lasting impact within a values-led organisation.
