Job summary

North Cotswold Schools Federation MAT is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the Trust's financial strategy and ensure robust financial governance across all schools. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and Directors to shape the strategic vision, oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, maintain financial policies, and ensure compliance with the Academies Handbook and statutory requirements.

Experience in an educational setting is desirable and the role requires influencing senior

• The position requires an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent by experience.

Job description

The position requires the successful candidate to holdan appropriate accounting qualification, for example: AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or be qualifiedby experience. It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience inan educational setting.

Our CFO will work very closely with the ChiefExecutive Officer and Trust Directors to help shape the strategic vision forour MAT. They will work with the Trust Business Manager and Finance Officer inthe day-to-day financial operations, and will be responsible for maintainingand overseeing our financial policies and procedures to ensure effective,efficient and compliant Trust financial management in line with the AcademyTrusts Handbook.
