Salary: £42,853.97 - £45,565.57 per year pro rata

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

To provide strategic, organisational and team leadership for Carers of East Lothian ensuring that the organisation:

• provides a high quality support that makes a real and positive difference in carers’ lives
• operates in an efficient and effective manner and complies with all relevant legal requirements
• has the resources necessary to continue to prosper
• is aware of and manages risks
• is an effective advocate for carers in both local and national planning and policy decision making.

Very flexible working and 6% matched pension.

Closing date is Monday 28th April at midday and we expect interviews to be held w/c 12th May.

We have an excellent reputation, recently gaining recognition through the Carers Trust ‘Excellence for Carers’ Award and have recently secured the contract to deliver adult carer services across East Lothian for an initial two-year period and a total period of up to six years, to 2031. Qualifications

Relevant Qualifications
Candidates will be expected to have a good undergraduate degree with qualification in counselling / psychology, education / community development, social work / social policy, health / nursing or similar related field preferred.

Driving Licence
Clean, valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

PVG Membership
Membership of PVG (Adult) Scheme. If you are already a member we will pay for an update report but candidates who are not members will be expected to join at their expense. Currently this costs £59.00.
