Overview

Delegated Services is a thriving Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to being the first-choice partner for the education and community sectors, providing high-quality support services with incredible value. We are at a pivotal moment in our growth and are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to build on our foundations and guide us to greater impact and reach in the Education and Community sectors in the West Country, with a National reach.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and strategic leader to join our dedicated team. The handover from the current CEO will be carefully phased over 6 months to allow comprehensive knowledge transfer, relationship building, and a seamless integration into the organisation, ensuring continued success and stability.

Responsibilities and expectations
  • Lead Delegated Services through a strategic and operational phase, maintaining a focus on delivering value to education and community sectors.
  • Ensure effective governance, financial management, and stakeholder engagement within a CIC framework, building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including School/MAT CEOs, Leaders, Headteachers, and others; knowledge of the charity sector is preferred.
  • Inspire and motivate teams, foster strong partnerships, and advocate for the organisation's mission.
  • Apply expertise in core service areas, primarily Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW).
  • Market and sell services to new customers and negotiate with existing customers, including renewals where applicable, with a focus on activities planned for April and September 2026 and beyond, on a rolling basis.
  • Uphold the organisation's values and drive tangible improvements in education and community outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership and operational management in the not-for-profit or social enterprise sector.
  • Deep understanding of governance, financial management, and stakeholder engagement within a CIC framework.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders such as School/MAT CEOs, Leaders, and Headteachers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and build partnerships.
  • Experience in the core service areas relevant to the role (HSW) is preferred.
