For over 25 years, Acorns has supported children, young people, and families impacted by domestic abuse across North Tyneside and Northumberland. Their holistic, trauma-informed approach helps survivors recover, rebuild, and thrive.

The Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide inspiring leadership and operational management, ensuring services continue to deliver life-changing impact. You will also drive financial sustainability, develop partnerships, and represent Acorns locally, regionally, and nationally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver strategic priorities.
  • Leading staff and embedding a culture of wellbeing, inclusivity, and accountability.
  • Overseeing service delivery and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
  • Securing and diversifying income to sustain long-term growth.
  • Acting as ambassador for Acorns and advocating for survivors of domestic abuse.
