Job summary

Being There Greater Manchester is seeking a new Chief Executive to lead and grow the organisation, steering the charity through funding challenges and developing its impact across Greater Manchester.

The successful candidate will inspire the management team and volunteers, drive fundraising strategy, and build partnerships with funders and partner organisations to expand services and reach.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a charity or nonprofit leadership team.
• Ability to navigate funding challenges and fundraising strategies.
• Strong governance, stakeholder engagement and partnership building.

For over 40 years, Being There, a medium sized charity, has provided practical, emotional and social support to those affected by life limiting illnesses across much of Greater Manchester. The services of the charity are delivered by an enthusiastic cohort of volunteers managed by an established and capable management team.

After steering Being There though the Pandemic and the recent economic impact on charities, our long serving CEO, Karen Mercer, is retiring. We are therefore looking to recruit a new leader for our team.
