Job summary

Disability Sheffield is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership, manage day-to-day operations, and drive the charity’s mission to promote independent living for disabled people in Sheffield. You will lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers, work with the Board on governance, and ensure financial sustainability.

The role is office-based with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 28 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in a voluntary, community, or charitable sector.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into delivery and outcomes.
• Experience working with a Board of Trustees and governance processes.
• Experience leading staff teams and volunteers with an inclusive culture.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, accessibility and co-production with disabled people.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to Disability Sheffield.
• Lead and develop staff and volunteers across all services.
• Oversee governance, risk management, safeguarding and financial stewardship.
• Build partnerships and secure funding for sustainability.
• Represent the charity to funders, partners and the community.
