Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex hardware and software products from development into manufacture.
• Strong programme delivery, resource allocation and priority management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of how engineering decisions affect cost, schedule, quality and product performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to operate effectively at strategic and detailed technical levels.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership & People Management: lead and develop the Engineering function with high performance, accountability and collaboration; manage managers across Electronics, Software, Mechanical, Production, Project & Programme Management, and Innovation.
• Engineering Delivery & Technical Excellence: own engineering delivery across concurrent programmes; ensure planning, resourcing, risks, and timescales are met; maintain design standards and documentation.
• Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment: align engineering priorities with business objectives; develop roadmaps with senior leadership; support recruitment and investment decisions.
