The Waldorf Astoria Admiralty Arch is seeking a Chief Engineer to join the pre-opening team for this luxury hotel, scheduled to open in early 2026. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chief Engineer to support the launch of one of London's most anticipated hotels.

The hotel will be housed in the historic Admiralty Arch, a Grade I listed building located at the end of The Mall, opposite Buckingham Palace.

The project is a collaboration between Hilton and Reuben Brothers, who acquired the property in 2022. It will feature 112 rooms and suites, including a VIP two-bedroom suite with views of Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, a rooftop terrace, and a ground-floor terrace overlooking St James's Park.

The hotel will offer world-class dining, a Spa, a 320-cover ballroom, residential apartments, and a private members' club, blending historical preservation with luxury amenities.

The Chief Engineer will oversee the Engineering Team to ensure safe, secure, and compliant hotel operations.

What will I be doing?

• Lead the Engineering Team in daily operations, maintenance, and service standards
• Coordinate with Housekeeping for maintenance of guest rooms and public areas
• Develop safety and operational systems for guests, staff, and property
• Ensure compliance with government regulations
• Prepare budgets for Capital and Repairs & Maintenance
• Perform daily hotel checks and emergency procedures
• Maintain mechanical equipment and hotel fixtures
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage emergency and energy conservation programs
• Oversee renovation projects, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
• Identify environmentally friendly systems and monitor KPIs for the department
• Manage team activities including recruitment, training, and performance management
