Job summary

Outbreach Ltd. is seeking a Director of Cyber to lead the whole of our technical delivery, from first response through to the final report.

This is the most senior delivery appointment in the business and it owns everything a client experiences from the first call to the final report. We are NCSC CIR Assured and work across the UK and the UAE for insurers, instructing solicitors and organisations in challenging weeks.

Qualifications

• Delivery leadership experience in incident response for consultancy, MSSP or large CSIRT.
• Credibility in digital forensics and incident response; able to sign and defend a report.
• Experience with privilege, disclosure, chain of custody, or expert witness work.
• Experience running an on-call rota and meeting response SLAs, including out of hours.
• Line management of senior technical staff with concrete development examples.
• Commercial literacy with utilisation, margin, scoping and change control.
• Ability to engage board-level stakeholders during live incidents.
• Calm under pressure and able to maintain standards when clients push for speed.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of all deliverables across engagement phases Plan, Prepare, React, Recover.
• Manage duty rota and four-hour initial assessment across UK and UAE.
• Lead litigation-grade reporting including evidence handling standards.
• Develop the practice heads and scale the team.
• Own utilization, engagement margin, and resource decisions.
• Act as escalation point for major incidents with clients.
• Own methodology, playbooks, and tooling baseline.
• Support bids and service reviews for retained clients and public sector frameworks.
• Maintain CIR Assured status and supporting evidence.
