Job summary

The Arts Club in London, Mayfair, seeks an exceptional Head of Cultural Programming to curate and deliver a compelling programme of talks, debates, performances, private views, exhibition tours and member experiences for a discerning private members’ club.

Reporting to the Executive Director - Marketing and Communications, Cultural Programming and Membership, you will lead the annual events calendar with creative judgement and commercial discipline, partnering across Marketing, Private Events

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cultural programming, event curation or related role within luxury hospitality, arts, cultural institutions or private members’ clubs.
• Strong networks in arts and culture with ability to identify ideas for a sophisticated audience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects, budgets and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience to mentor junior team members and set high standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a varied cultural programme spanning arts, literature, science, technology, politics, healthcare, the environment and current affairs.
• Curate talks, debates, panel discussions, performances, tours and exclusive member experiences.
• Identify, approach and secure outstanding speakers, artists and institutions while managing costs.
• Build and nurture relationships with members, partners, suppliers, museums and cultural organisations.
• Oversee event delivery from concept through execution reflecting the Club’s standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote the programme via newsletters, social media and Club communications.
• Monitor event performance, attendance and ROI to refine future programming.
• Lead and develop a Cultural Programming Executive with clear priorities and high standards.
