Job summary

Barclays is seeking a senior leader to own and drive the Technology, Cyber and Resilience control environment, ensuring adherence to Barclays Controls Framework. You will lead a globally distributed team and shape the enterprise control strategy to strengthen governance.

The role requires deep expertise in technology risk, cyber security, and operational resilience, with ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver continuous control improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Deep, enterprise-level mastery of first line risk and control leadership.
• Ownership of end-to-end Technology, Cyber and Resilience control.
• Expertise in technology risk, cyber security and resilience obligations.
• Experience setting governance and assurance for proactive risk identification.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• CIO-level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank's internal control framework.
• Support mitigation of operational, financial and reputational risk.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to improve control effectiveness.
• Document control assessments, procedures and findings.
• Identify and investigate weaknesses and issues in internal controls.
• Develop reports communicating risk findings and recommendations.
• Execute reviews of the framework against policies and best practice.
• Lead, mentor and develop teams while embedding Barclays leadership values.
