As we scale our impact across financial services, fintech, and other highly regulated sectors, we are seeking a visionary Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to ensure our own regulatory excellence and help shape the compliance landscape for our clients.

Role Overview

As CCO, you will lead Regulativ.ai’s compliance strategy, ensuring our solutions and operations meet the highest standards of UK and international regulation. You will be instrumental in embedding a culture of compliance, ethical innovation, and operational integrity—both internally and in the AI-driven products we deliver to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance Leadership: Design, implement, and continuously improve a robust compliance framework tailored to the RegTech and AI sectors, with a focus on FCA, GDPR, AI Act, and other relevant UK and global regulations.
• Regulatory Horizon Scanning: Monitor, interpret, and communicate emerging regulatory trends in AI, data privacy, and financial services, ensuring Regulativ.ai remains at the forefront of compliance innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g., FCA, ICO), industry groups, and clients on all compliance matters.
• Product Compliance: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure our AI solutions are designed and deployed in line with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and best practices.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks related to AI, data usage, and SaaS operations, maintaining robust controls and audit trails.
• Training & Culture: Develop and deliver compliance training for all staff, championing a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Reporting: Prepare and present clear, actionable compliance reports to the Board and Executive Committee, highlighting key risks, incidents, and regulatory developments.
• Incident Response: Lead investigations into potential compliance breaches and oversee remediation, reporting, and communication protocols.
• Client Assurance: Support sales and client success teams by providing compliance expertise during client onboarding, RFPs, and due diligence processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior compliance leadership experience within a regulated technology, fintech, or SaaS environment.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and EU regulatory frameworks, especially FCA, GDPR, and (ideally) the EU AI Act.
• Track record of working with AI, data privacy, or RegTech solutions is highly desirable.
• Degree in Law, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, CCEP) are a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience engaging with regulators and managing compliance in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
