Business Context:
- This role is with a global property management platform acquired last year by a fast-growing SaaS organization.
- The company is experiencing scale-up challenges, including immature commercial structures and operational issues.
- There is an opportunity to reshape the business and bring in senior commercial leadership following the departure of the current CEO.
Strategic Goals:
- Transition from a founder-led scale-up to a mature, scalable SaaS business
- Implement operational controls across customer excellence, sales, and account management
- Build an end-to-end commercial model supporting delivery and growth
- Focus on stabilizing the UK market first, then exploring international expansion into France and the US
Purpose:
To own and deliver the commercial strategy across all customer-facing functions, professionalize operations, and support the transition to a scale-ready organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for sales, account management, and customer success
- Manage client delivery, operations, and team accountability
- Oversee compliance, billing, and service delivery performance
- Collaborate with product leadership to incorporate market needs and operational insights
- Establish performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
- Operate as the day-to-day commercial lead, supporting the founder's transition to a product-focused role
- Support long-term international expansion plans, focusing initially on stabilizing the UK business
Experience:
- Extensive experience in SaaS commercial leadership roles, preferably in growth or scale-up environments
- Proven track record in leading customer-facing teams in founder-led businesses
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-growth, non-corporate settings
- Ability to implement structure and processes across sales, customer success, and operations
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with founder personalities
- Ability to quickly adapt and gain traction in fast-moving organizations
- Based in the UK, with immediate focus on the UK market
