McBride Sport are delighted to be retained by Northampton Saints in their search for a new Chief Commercial Officer. With rich heritage, a passionate supporter base, and a position as one of the leading teams in English Rugby, Cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens is not just a stadium – it’s the heart of a community and the platform for Northampton Saints’ ambitions, both on and off the pitch.

Over the past few years, the club has made significant progress across all areas of its operation. On the field, they have built a highly competitive squad that reflects their values and commitment

to exciting, high-performance rugby, winning the Premiership in the 2024/25 season and achieving two consecutive semi-finals in the European Investec Champions Cup. Their strategy of

developing home-grown players through their Academy has seen numerous players progressing to the clubs first XV, and the most recent Six Nations campaign saw seven Saints players representing their countries.

Off the field, Northampton Saints have delivered double-digit revenue growth, achieved sector-leading supporter engagement scores for our matchday experience, modernised the club’s visual identity, and developed their stadium in a truly multi- purpose conference and events venue.

Now looking to the future, they are now keen to identify an experienced Chief Commercial Officer who is motivated by the opportunity to play a critical role in helping Northampton Saints achieve the next phase of their growth ambitions. This is a key leadership position within the Executive Team, responsible for maximising revenue across multiple areas of the business, with a remit that includes sponsorship and partnerships, advertising, retail, hospitality, catering and events. We are looking for someone who has previous experience of commercial leadership with a rights holder, sport, entertainment, or a related industry and who can bring fresh ideas, strategic thinking, and proven revenue-generating capability alongside a passion for sport.
