1492 Ltd in the West Midlands seeks an experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy and drive growth. You will own all sales, marketing and related activities, optimise the current commercial infrastructure and implement growth plans across regions and markets.

This leadership role combines strategic development with hands-on business development, ideal for someone who enjoys shaping strategy and winning new business in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering sales growth in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Experience selling outsourced manufacturing solutions or technical products.
• Strong business development and customer acquisition skills.
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• Background in industrial sectors such as aerospace, medical, defence, rail, power generation or similar.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver the company's sales and marketing strategy to drive profitable growth.
• Lead and develop the commercial team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across existing and new markets.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, prospects and industry stakeholders.
• Manage sales pipelines, forecasting and CRM activity.
• Drive digital marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support the company's long‑term growth objectives.
