Job summary

Loveday & Co. in London is seeking a Clinical Lead to drive high-quality care and governance across our care home operations. You will mentor nursing staff, oversee clinical governance, and ensure compliance with NMC and CQC standards.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop service improvements, monitor care delivery, and maintain accurate records while upholding residents' safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and current practice
• Experience leading clinical teams in elderly care
• Strong mentoring and supervision skills
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NMC, CQC) and governance

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for clinical and care colleagues and act as a champion for members’ safety and dignity.
• Maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
• Comply with the clinical governance framework and participate in the clinical audit programme.
• Develop monitoring and reporting systems to promote safe, effective, high-quality services.
• Ensure clear records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained.
• Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice.
• Work with the General Manager on strategies for service development or changes in service provision.
• Supervise nurses day-to-day and through formal clinical supervision.
• Mentor new nurses and those needing clinical development.
• Liaise with GPs and health professionals to ensure residents receive required medical support.
• Maintain high standards of record-keeping and infection control; monitor care delivery.
