Job summary

VerseOne Group is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist (Band 6) or Chief Cardiac Physiologist (Band 7) for Devices/Invasive work. The role involves hands-on pacemaker and ICD procedures, device follow-ups, and home monitoring reviews within a hospital setting.

The post holder will analyze device and patient interactions and report suitability to the implanting physician. Opportunities exist to develop skills across related cardiovascular services in a dynamic environment.

Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist (Band 6)/Chief Cardiac Physiologist (Band 7) - depending on experience for Devices/Invasive. As a Devices Physiologist you will undertake Pacemaker and ICD procedures, including implantation procedures, devices follow ups and home monitoring reviews.

All applicants need to have as a minimum independence for bradycardia pacing (implant and follow up) and independence in basic cardiac angiography. Applications will be considered for those with the required minimum skill set looking to obtain experience in other aspects of the role.

The post holder will be present at pacemaker implants and will analyse device and patient interaction. Based on this analysis, the post holder will report to the implanting physician suitability (or otherwise) of electrode position(s).

The post holder will carry out implantable device follow up clinics using dedicated device programmers, write reports, make and independently instigate pacemaker therapy prescriptions based on clinical findings.
