The role involves performing echocardiograms, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care within Manchester's diagnostic centres. We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Chief Cardiac Physiologist to join our dedicated Echo team at InHealth. This is an exciting opportunity to work across our well-established clinics in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds. You will predominantly work at our Community Diagnostic Centres in Manchester and Liverpool, supporting our clinic in Leeds 1-2 days per month.We will consider both full-time and part-time hours for the role.At InHealth, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. As a Chief Cardiac Physiologist, youll play a pivotal role in supporting both service delivery and professional development within our team.
Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards using the latest equipment and software.Provide expert support to peers through our second-opinion rota, upholding clinical best practice.Play a leading role in mentoring trainee physiologists and supporting their development.Get involved in clinical audits, help drive service quality, and influence future improvements.Ensure equipment is well maintained with regular quality assurance checks.Support urgent clinical referrals through clear, professional communication with GPs and hospital teams.Help keep patient systems up to date and assist with bookings as needed.BSE accreditation (or equivalent) with strong experience in adult transthoracic echoA confident, independent reporter with a patient-first mindsetSkilled in working within BSE guidelines and committed to quality and safetyA natural mentor with a desire to share knowledge and grow the next generation of cardiac physiologistsA team player with strong communication skills and attention to detailUp-to-date on Information Governance, Data Protection, and Caldicott Principles
