Job summary

Cloudscaler in London seeks a senior Head of Applied AI to lead the unit, define the strategy, and align external AI go-to-market with internal delivery. The role reports to the CTO and requires hands-on technical and commercial credibility.

You will own AI offerings, build a practice, and scale the team while maintaining a relentless client focus across enterprise and public sector projects. Travel to customer sites is required up to 3 days per week; SC clearance is required to work with

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in AI technologies, models and tooling to direct development.
• Proven experience owning revenue or gross profit targets.
• Strong consulting and client-facing credibility with C-suite and engineers.
• Experience building teams and repeatable capability, not just delivery.
• Familiarity with AWS and Anthropic ecosystems or similar.
• External track record of public contributions in applied AI.
• Leadership experience with team-building and delegation.
• Judgement to prioritise and focus a small team’s effort.

Responsibilities

• Own AI go-to-market offerings and customer engagements.
• Manage external client, partner, and public-facing activities.
• Provide technical delivery oversight and architecture review.
• Build and lead the AI practice and capability development.
• Establish internal AI enablement and governance.
• Develop and maintain partner relationships (AWS, Anthropic).
• Provide thought leadership and public voice.
