We are breaking new ground and looking to appoint our first ever Chief AI Officer. Someone who will be at the forefront of revolutionising the Liverpool City Region’s AI Landscape.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the Liverpool City Region’s digital future - helping us harness the power of artificial intelligence to improve public services, support communities, and unlock economic growth.

This is your opportunity to lead transformational work across sectors including health, transport and education with a strong emphasis on ethical, inclusive and forward-thinking AI. You’ll champion digital upskilling, drive innovation, and shape policy that puts people first.

What you’ll be actively doing in this exciting role:

• Leading the City Region’s AI strategy and embedding it in our digital transformation goals.
• Advocating for ethical AI practices, data privacy and inclusive technology.
• Developing strategic partnerships at local, national and international level.
• Representing LCRCA in forums and roundtables on the future of AI.
• Guiding teams and collaborating with the LCRCA AI Task Force.
• Supporting workforce development and skills programmes.
• Ensuring all initiatives align with our purpose-driven values and priorities.
