A local government authority in Waingroves is seeking a qualified accountant to lead its finance team. The successful candidate will oversee budget production and the medium-term financial plan, delivering high-quality financial information across the organization. Your will report to the Head of Finance and have responsibility for a small accountancy team. Your role will be to lead the production of the Council's budget, statements of account, and provide quality financial information across the organisation. As the lead officer for the development of the Council's medium-term financial plan you will also play a key role in the provision of strategic financial information to the senior management team and members. This key finance post will supervise the delivery of a comprehensive finance service, with particular focus on leading a small team that delivers the finance business partnering requirements for the Council as well as, VAT, systems, treasury management, and Collection Fund accounting.
