Description

* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture.

* Provide expert financial guidance to senior stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making across the organisation.

* Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including year-end accounts, budget planning and monitoring, and statutory returns.

* Oversee all aspects of capital accounting, treasury management, pensions, and exchequer functions.

* Ensure financial systems and internal controls are robust, efficient, and compliant with public sector regulations

* Play a key role in driving continuous improvement across finance processes and service delivery.

Profile

* Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).

* A minimum of 5 years' industry experience.

* Strong technical expertise in local government or public sector finance.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders.

* Flexible and proactive approach, able to respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Job Offer

* £54,000 - £58,000 per annum.

* Flexible working arrangements - 3x days onsite in Leicester, 2x days remote working.

* Generous annual leave entitlement plus public holidays.
