Robert Half are seeking a Qualified Accountant, with both Management Accounting and Financial Accounting experience, to join a Global Energy company as a Chief Accountant. Paying £65-70k and based in Central London (Hybrid Working). This position will provide exposure to C-Suite Executives as well as front office staff.

The Role

  • Take ownership of preparing monthly management accounts, delivering insightful variance analysis across various internal reporting systems.
  • Support the delivery of annual statutory accounts, ensuring all disclosure requirements are met and audit timelines are achieved.
  • Assist with financial forecasting and planning activities to support the wider business strategy and budget process.
  • Manage queries from internal teams and external partners related to invoicing, payments, and settlement data.
  • Oversee VAT return preparation, ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements and managing payment schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, both on a routine and ad-hoc basis (e.g., in response to market events).

Your Profile

  • You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Broad experience across Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax and Cash flow is essential.
