The post aims to strengthen lung and cardiac imaging capabilities, with potential for CESR candidates; on‑call and acute imaging duties form part of the role as the department grows.

Qualifications

• On GMC’s Specialist Register or be no more than six months from receiving CCT at interview date.
• FRCR or equivalent higher qualification from a different College or from overseas.
• Fellowship or higher qualification.
• Advanced or further degrees.
• Medical or post‑graduate prizes

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality reporting and interventional chest radiology.
• Perform CT‑guided biopsy and chest interventional procedures.
• Contribute to on‑call and acute imaging to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in teaching, supervision and professional governance.
• Support broader imaging services and leadership in the department
