Position: General Technician

Summary: The General Technician position requires basic experience across all disciplines within the entertainment industry. Responsibilities include moving and installing materials and equipment, attaching décor, running power and data cabling, and supporting technical show elements. The role also involves supporting the onsite team to operate equipment for successful show delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Install temporary AV equipment, including sound, lighting, and SFX, across multiple venues.
  • Basic programming and operation of QLab and lighting software onsite.
  • Assist in installing a pop-up stage and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Work efficiently to deliver high-quality events.
Qualifications:
  • Education: GCSEs or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding, engineering, rigging, carpentry, electronics, audio, construction, or electrical fields preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in the technical entertainment field.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid UK Driving Licence; CSCS and IPAF certifications are advantageous.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Frequent exposure to adverse weather, working at heights, and handling heavy objects. On-site work may involve working in cramped, dirty, or hazardous conditions.

Salary:

£100/day
