Chemotherapy Staff Nurse (Bank) – Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital | Oncology | Bank Contract | Part-time | Up to £35.00 per hour

Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker. This is a bank role where you work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Main duties
  • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
  • Monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, ensuring their well-being.
  • Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on chemotherapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families coping with the challenges of cancer treatment.

Job responsibilities

As a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse on our Oncology Unit at The Manor Hospital, you will drive the standard in patient care. You are registered with the appropriate governing body and have post-registration experience, including NMC where applicable. You will:

  • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
  • Monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, ensuring their well-being.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
