We are a nurse led unit with excellent patient feedback, providing specialist care to patients undergoing systemic anti cancer treatments (SACT).

The Unit has 12 treatment chairs, a phlebotomy clinic and outpatient clinic rooms. We operate Monday to Friday (some bank holidays) and offer clinical supervision and professional development. If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, come and be part of our committed team delivering exceptional patient care. Informal visits or chats are encouraged.

SACT/Chemotherapy experience is not necessary and these skills can be taught, you will be supported to complete the UKONS SACT passport, and will be expected in time to undertake an accredited SACT module as part of this role.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you'll play a vital role in providing evidence-based care, supporting patients through their treatment journey, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be chemotherapy competent and have extensive experience in caring for oncology or haematology patients, however training can be provided for all of this for the right candidate. You'll be responsible for assessing care needs, conducting toxicity assessments, administering SACT and supportive treatments. As part of our supportive and forward thinking team, you'll provide expert oncology and haematology nursing service to patients, families and health professionals.
