Leaders in Care is seeking an experienced Community Chemotherapy Nurse to deliver oncology treatments in patients' homes across Dundee and surrounding areas. You will manage your own caseload, work Monday to Friday, with no nights or weekends, and benefit from a generous salary and support.

Applicants will have active NMC registration (Adult Nurse), recent chemotherapy experience, strong cannulation skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse (RGN).
• Recent experience administering chemotherapy (SACT).
• Competency in cytotoxic drug administration.
• Strong cannulation and venepuncture skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Delivering chemotherapy and SACT in the community.
• Administering oncology/haematology treatments safely per protocols.
• Complete pre-treatment clinical assessments.
• Reviewing observations and addressing treatment-related concerns.
• Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management.
• Maintain accurate electronic clinical records and educate patients and families.
• Liaise with hospitals and MDTs to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage own community caseload and daily schedule.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse or SACT Nurse to move away from the pressures of a busy hospital environment and deliver specialist cancer treatment directly in patients own homes.

Im recruiting on behalf of one of the UKs leading specialist healthcare providers for a Community Chemotherapy Nurse covering Dundee and the surrounding areas.

Youll manage your own community caseload, spend meaningful one-to-one time with your patients and deliver high-quality oncology, haematology and systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) within the home.

The Role

As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, youll work autonomously across Dundee and the surrounding areas, delivering specialist cancer treatments safely within patients homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering chemotherapy and systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) in the community
• Administering oncology and haematology treatments safely and in line with clinical protocols
• Completing pre-treatment clinical assessments
• Reviewing observations and identifying treatment-related concerns
• Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management
• Monitoring patients during treatment and responding to adverse reactions
• Maintaining accurate electronic clinical records
• Educating and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment
• Liaising with hospitals, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Managing your own community caseload and daily schedule

What Were Looking For

To be considered, youll need:

• Active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse / RGN
• Recent experience administering chemotherapy with SACT passport
• Competency in the administration of cytotoxic drugs
• Strong cannulation and venepuncture skills
• Experience managing vascular access devices
• Confident clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently within a community setting
• Full UK driving licence
