An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated chemotherapy booking co-ordinator to provide administrative support within Specialist Medicine.
The role will involve working closely with the Haematology & Oncology Daycase, management, administrators, secretarial, nursing and medical colleagues. Providing comprehensive administration support. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Daycase appointments are booked accordingly, validating and maintaining the data quality of the Inpatient & Outpatient waiting lists. This will include the monitoring of patients identified in the Planned & Post RTT category, ensuring these patients are legitimately in the correct category and have the correct 'see by' dates.
You will use your RTT and cancer pathway knowledge and experience to support the admin processes of validation. This will include receiving and saving validation files from System Development.

Essential requirements for the post :
Good interpersonal Skills
Literacy and Numeracy
Proven Organisational Skills
Ability to work on own initiative whilst under pressure, including working to tight deadlines and prioritising work effectively.
Able to deal with sensitive/confidential issues on a daily basis.
Good knowledge and understanding of all Access Targets in particular the rules of RTT and cancer pathway.
Knowledge of EPR
