Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced coordinator to manage chemotherapy prescribing processes. You will work with doctors to ensure accurate prescriptions and with pharmacists to screen and verify those prescriptions, updating all related documentation promptly.

Daily liaison with nursing staff and a proactive approach to ensuring prescriptions are completed in a timely manner, ideally 48 hours in advance, will be essential to maintain smooth patient care

Qualifications

• Coordinate prescribing chemotherapy using electronic software packages (eg ARIA).
• Screen chemotherapy prescriptions by pharmacists and ensure documentation is updated.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with doctors and pharmacists to ensure chemotherapy is prescribed and screened, ideally 48 hours in advance.
• Provide daily status updates to nursing staff on the stage of chemotherapy prescription processing.
