If you offer some laboratory experience and knowledge of Science, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role providing technical support in a lively and enthusiastic Science Department at an award-winning school.
As a Chemistry Technician, you will support the safe delivery of experiments and practical activities within Chemistry lessons. Your responsibilities include preparing and clearing away equipment, assisting pupils and teachers with equipment use, maintaining health and safety protocols, managing inventory, undertaking stock control, and overseeing the purchase of equipment and materials.
You will also have the opportunity to share your passion for Science with students through co-curricular clubs.
You should have a good basic knowledge of Science and some laboratory experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with practical knowledge and problem-solving skills, are essential. A passion for education and Science, and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth, are also important.
Qualifications include a Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Science or an equivalent qualification.
